loved my stay at a cozy hostel in NOLA! Perfect location near Bourbon Street and city cemeteries. Friendly staff, festive Halloween vibes, and no sign of bedbugs. Affordable transit pass for easy exploring. Definitely recommended!
Uncomfortable bunk bed mattresses.

During our stay, we were impressed by the great location of the hostel, which provided easy access to the main attractions. The garden area was a lovely spot to relax, and the trolley stop right outside the hostel made exploring the city convenient. The ensuite room we booked was spacious with clean bunk beds, and the bathroom had a newly renovated shower with good water pressure.
The kitchen cleanliness was a letdown, as it smelled bad and was dirty.

Great location, close to public transportation and easy to get around the city. Friendly and helpful staff, always willing to assist with any concerns or questions.- Enjoyed the variety of activities organized by the hostel, added to the overall experience.
Limited parking availability, caused inconvenience during my stay. Breakfast starting late in the morning, making it difficult for early risers or those with early plans.

The value for money at India House was absolutely fantastic! The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was convenient with easy access to transportation. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was a wider variety of options.

The hostel was conveniently located near a streetcar stop and within walking distance to downtown. The private rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly, honest, and incredibly helpful. The hostel provided a variety of social spaces and activities for guests to enjoy. The mix of people from different countries added to the charm and there were even musical talents shared. The highlight was the delicious Christmas dinner provided by the management.
Felt like a home away from home, no complaints whatsoever.

The people here were so friendly and welcoming, it felt like a home away from home. The staff were amazing, especially Bailey, Victoria, and Wyatt. They made my stay unforgettable and were always there to help. The location was also great, close to all the main attractions and easy to get around. Plus, the hostel had a super cool vibe with a fun and lively atmosphere.
The room I stayed in. It was quite noisy and didn't offer much privacy.

Nothing that we didn't like.

Our stay at India House was fantastic! The hostel had a warm and unique atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The common and outdoor spaces were beautifully decorated, and we loved hanging out in the serene courtyard area. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always happy to suggest activities and give us recommendations for exploring the city. The highlight of our stay was definitely the incredibly yummy breakfast and dinner options they offered every day. We also had the opportunity to join a bar crawl organized by the hostel, which introduced us to some awesome people. The location was great, separated from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter but conveniently located next to a trolley stop. we had an amazing experience at India House and would highly recommend it for a unique and inexpensive travel experience.

We stayed at India House for four nights and felt very at home. The staff was exceptionally helpful and patient, always willing to assist us with our questions. The breakfast was great value and very tasty. Our room was clean, bright, and comfortable, with our own bathroom. There were plenty of activities going on if we wanted to join in, but we enjoyed going our own way. The location was amazing, close to street cars that took us to the French Quarter in just 20-25 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxing, especially by the pool on a hot day.
Would recommend this hotel.

During my stay, I was impressed with the location of the hostel. It was super close to the city center, making it convenient for exploring all the main attractions. The public transport, especially the streetcar, was just a short walk away, making it easy to get around. the hostel was located right off Canal Street, which added to its accessibility.
There was one small downside during my stay. The dorm room I was in had a slight unpleasant odor, possibly due to the dirty clothes of my roommates.

During my recent stay at a hostel in a vibrant city, I had a fantastic experience. The hostel was clean and offered private rooms with ensuite baths, which were new and very clean. I enjoyed relaxing at the pool in the afternoons and evenings, truly embracing the vacation vibe. One of the highlights was the opportunity to meet fellow guests from all over the world and exchange life stories. Additionally, the hostel had a great location, with nearby grocery stores and easy access to JazzFest and the French Quarter. I would highly recommend this hostel for a unique and enjoyable stay. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

I had a great time during my Easter stay at this hostel. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable bunk beds. The ensuite bathrooms were renovated and had nice showers. The hostel offered cheap breakfast and dinner options, which was convenient. The location was key, with the trolley just a few steps away, making it easy to explore downtown and the French Quarter.
There were a few things I didn't like. The staff was functional but not overly friendly or welcoming.

I had a great value for my money at India House. The room was perfect for my short solo trip and I loved getting to know other guests in the dorm. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my first hostel experience a positive one.
The breakfast offerings could use a little improvement, maybe some more variety would be nice.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the welcoming and friendly staff at the hostel. They were always ready to help and made me feel at home. Additionally, the hostel's pub crawls every night were a great way to meet new people and have a fun time. Another advantage was the character of the hostel, which added to the overall experience.
One aspect that I didn't like was the lack of privacy in the dorm rooms. There were no doors between the large room with multiple beds, which made it difficult to have any personal space.
Tourists from India often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
